Been a while since my last update but there has really been no new news. The rumor now is Chicago will open their harbors June 15th but the Mayor will not confirm this. I think for sure they will open by July 6th but if its in June I just don’t know.
Illinois is allowing Charters and we have spoken with our insurance and checked the medical guidelines and we feel we can safely run fishing charters once the harbors finally open. I am hopeful Chicago will stick with the same guidelines as the state but it is possible they make up their own.
With the large amount of boats leaving Chicago and going to the surrounding harbors Waukegan was no longer a option so we are waiting out Chicago.
As soon as I get a firm opening date I will report back.
